For all our Sisters who will spend Christmas away from their home Provinces. May they feel the support of our love and prayers at this special time of celebration.

One Small Voice

At Christmas we celebrate God’s love for us and Mary’s “yes” to God.

Mary’s part in the incarnation, the mystery of God becoming a human person is only two lines in Luke’s account of the birth of Jesus: “They were in Bethlehem when the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to a son”. She delivers her child away from home and relatives, away from security and familiarity.

Strange things begin to occur. The birth does not go unnoticed. The small family is visited by the poor shepherds who come looking for the Messiah.

May we, like Mary, celebrate and rejoice in God’s love for each one of us, and continue to say “yes” to God in our daily lives.
