Award given to IBVM in Castilleja Print E-mail

Spain:Award given to IBVM in Castilleja, Sevilla, Spain,for their support to immigrants.

Since January 2000, the Institute has lent part of the old Boarding School to an NGO, called “Sevilla Acoge”. The purpose is to provide housing to families, particularly women and children while they get their papers, a job and a house.

This award was presented by Mr. Manuel Chaves, President of the Andalusian Government,
in Sevilla, on the 12th November 05.

  “Sevilla Acoge“ was celebrating its 50th anniversary as an NGO.

 They are totally dedicated to immigration, particularly in the South
of Spain and Morocco.
The families that live in our old Boarding School get quite integrated in Castilleja.
Since this is a small place, and everybody knows the Institute, they connect them
with us and trust them and welcome them in their struggle for a new life.
