“I intended to undertake this work
in honour of Our Lady,
because to honour her
was very grateful
to God and because I loved her.”
M. Ward. August 20th, 1628.

We pray with the Church and the world
For us, who have been called to be peacemakers in violent
times. May our commitment to this call, move us to pray for peace, to work for
justice and to join with others who pray and work for peace and justice.
For the millions of orphans and homeless children. May we pray
and encourage the governments of the world, to work for better healthcare,
nutrition, full human growth and education of these children.
For
the youth of the world. May God give them the strength to hold onto their faith
and to keep alive their joy in God’s creation.
We pray with the Institute
We pray in thanksgiving for all who are ending
their terms of leadership service in the Institute. We remember in particular Mary
Wright and
the General Consultors who have served us well during the past eight
years. May God’s wisdom, guidance and abiding love remain with them in their
future ministries.
Companioned by Mary Ward, may we move forward
together, guided by the Holy Spirit and trusting in her promise: “When God
shall enable me to be in place I will serve you”.
We rejoice and give thanks to God with the E.
African Province for the Final Professions of Margaret Sewe and Veneranda
Lusuli.
May they continue to respond in love to God’s call to live in freedom, justice
and sincerity.

One
Small Voice
I can do something now in this
time and place.
Now is still my time.
The dream of creating a
“new heaven and a new earth”
lives on.
Now is still my time.
It is not determined by my age,
my health or my degrees,
but by my heart and
the burning desire to act for God,
to make God’s love and
healing presence
visible in a hurting world.
God has given me this time.
It is still my time,
my time…until I die.
