For all members of the Institute: May we realize our personal responsibility to encourage others to join us in our mission to the people of our time. We pray too for all Christians who seek an understanding of God’s call in their life.

For Patricia Leadbetter from the Australian Province who will make Final Profession on Easter Monday. May she be blessed with God’s presence and love on this day and into the years ahead.

One Small Voice

In this day’s frantic pull,

we set aside a pearl of time

to speak a holy prayer.

We pray for our hands:

hands that grip faith so tightly,

it cannot breathe truth,

cannot smile understanding,

and cannot listen to

another faith’s blessing.

It is a prayer of hope,

that we may open our hands;

reach out, touch,

feel the wounds and pain

our clenched fists have caused.

Then, in sorrow and care,

we may take hold of other hands,

and look forward together,

linked in the peace

of one creation.

From  Let there be….

praying the new millennium
