September 16: Reunion Day – let us thank God for the continuing work of Reunion as reflected in the writing of our new Constitutions.

September 16: International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer - the ozone layer, a fragile shield of gas, protects the Earth from the harmful portion of the rays of the sun, thus helping preserve life on the planet. This day marks an agreement for protection.

September 21:  International Day of Peace – join the worldwide movement to create a Global Ceasefire and day of peace and nonviolence.

We pray with the Institute

September 4-7:  For our JPIC Province representatives as they meet in New York at the DPI (Department of Public Information) conference.

September 8:  For Áine Moran who celebrates her First profession in Ireland on this day. May God bless her and the Irish province.

September 29:  The Feast of St Michael and All Angels – may St Michael, our special protector continue to watch over us, reminding us of God’s faithful love and care.

Again, Bishop Kevin Dowling reflecting on our Calls at the Provincials’ meeting said this about our relational God:

…… if God is viewed as essentially “relational” and incarnated in all reality as a relational God, then this will have crucial consequences for the way we view all reality, the cosmos, the planet and all that lives, including all of humankind. A relational God will be understood and viewed at any moment as mirrored in all of reality; a relational God will constantly call and invite a great variety of relational models in all of life and creation. A relational God calls for communion at all levels of being and life…..
