to be is a blessing.
Just
to live is holy.

We pray with the Church and the world
We
remember those who have lost loved ones during the past year. May God’s loving
embrace continue to comfort them in their times of sadness.
(2 November: All Souls Day)
We
pray for all those traumatized by war and then further disadvantaged by ruined
environments.
(6 November: International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of
the Environment in War and Armed Conflict)
We
pray that our hearts may be large enough to accept different ways of seeing,
being and doing, and allow others the freedom to be different.
(16 November: International Day for Tolerance)
We
ask God’s blessing on all children and for all people working to promote the
welfare of the world's children, especially the girl child.
(20 November: Universal Children's Day)
We
pray for women everywhere whose lives are filled with oppression and violence.
May we participate in whatever way we can against unjust situations.
(25 November:
International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women)
We
pray with the Institute
We pray with Mary Ward for the grace of The
Just Soul
– a singular freedom to refer all to God…and to gain at God’s hand true wisdom
and ability to perform all such other things as the perfection of this
Institute asks of us.
(1st November, 1615 – The Vision of the Just Soul)
For Marian and the Council who will be discerning the way forward
in both Peru and South Africa following the recent consultations there.
We pray for our young women in India and Kenya preparing for their
Final Vows in the next few months. May they be strengthened in their commitment
to Jesus and the Gospel.
For all artists, musicians, poets and writers among us. We give
thanks for their creativity and for the beauty, joy and wonder they share with
us.
(22nd November – Feast of St Cecilia)
One
Small Voice
Blessed are you,
God of all peoples.
Blessed are you
for the wonderful
differences
of colour and culture,
of creed and cult
that make up the human
race.
May we give witness by
the
example of our lives
to the splendour of
Jesus’ truth
to the joy of his
resurrection,
to his Spirit of love.
May our witness bring
others
to Jesus and to you.
Amen
