We pray with the Church and the world

With the Holy Father we pray

That in a climate of forgiveness and reconciliation, the Church, through her testimony, may spread Christ’s love, the source of new humanity.

That Christians persecuted because of the Gospel be strengthened by the Holy Spirit so that they may continue to bear witness to the word of God.

With all women gathering for the Women’s World Day of Prayer we pray

That God’s wisdom will provide new understanding in the challenges to respect and dignity of all people. For the women of Guyana who prepared this year’s liturgy, that they will be blest. (8th March)

On International World Day for Water we pray

With all those who live with physical thirst, who do not access to clean, portable water, and ask that the waters of life may flow for them to quench their thirst and nourish their living. (22nd March) www.worldwaterday.org

March is a month full of holy days and religious festivals. Let us pray with the Muslims, the Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs as they celebrate in their traditional ways.

For Marian as she makes Visitation of the sisters in the USA and for Rosemary Lynch and her Council as they lead the province.

For each one as we pray with the Constitutional material that has been presented to us so far. May God bless those who continue to imagine, write and shape these new documents.

For each one of us in this Easter season: that when our hopes and dreams seem shattered and we are confused and afraid, we may experience anew the consoling presence of the Risen Jesus who brings new hope into our lives.

One Small Voice

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God

that you are exactly

where you are meant to be.

May you not forget

the infinite possibilities

that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts

that you have received,

and pass on the love

that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing

that you are a child of God.

Let this presence

settle into your bones,

and allow your soul

the freedom

to sing, dance, praise and love.
