Training
course in School Leadership skills
for
Principal,
Vice Principals and Coordinators
Jamshedpur.
This course has
been an eye opener and an experience of a life time. I have been in the
administration for more than a decade did many things but never stopped to reflect
– why? Academic excellence is a Goal and what objectives are achieved by that,
leave alone the tasks and steps involved. Delegation is an art so it has to be
cultivated.
Administration involves Situational Leadership, Time management
such that you are not burnt out and are fresh and alert to handle the 100th
case for the day. It sounds like a lawyer’s routine but it is legal business.
An administrator is expected to play the role of a finance manager and a person
who resolves conflict with equal ease. As a leader what is your style and what
kind of culture are you promoting in the school. All this and more is possible
only if there is Planning. School administration is no easy job it has millions
of expectations, most of all to be a “Complete Person”.
A school is a unique
place where the child develops into an adult, fully conscious of her rights and
duties, for this to happen the person at the helm of it all should have a clear
Mission and Vision.
We were 31
participants from North, South, East and West of India, this October. Each one
brought with them their experience which added to the richness of the course.
This course
must be mandatory for all people even remotely involved in School
administration. Thanks to the Loreto Sisters for recommending this course.
