We pray with the Church and the world
For the Pope’s intentions this month:
That the human family
trusts in God’s plan for the world and come to respect that creation is a
divine gift.
That the entire people of
God be alert to our common calling to holiness and mission.
9 August is International Day of the World's Indigenous People and we especially remember all our members
who work in the Courage to Move missions.
12 August is International
Youth Day. Let us pray for
those who work towards the second Millennium Goal that by 2015 we may have
universal primary education for all young people.
We
pray with the Institute
For the Extended
Leadership meeting (Provincials with General Council) in Llandudno from August
11 – 25. May all who gather find support and encouragement, challenge and
inspiration.
For Marren
Awiti and Maria
Macha as they make their Final
Vows this month – Maria in Loreto Nyakato, Tanzania on the 2nd and Marren at Rongo
Parish, Homabay Diocese on the 7th.
Blessings and love to them and all in the East Africa Province.
Our Constitutions work and
reflection continues. We support Deirdre Browne with prayer as she continues to
re-work Volume 2.
Sr. Francoise Samson from the Mauritius Province will
receive Final Vows on August 31st, 2008.
For
each one as we sharpen our engagement with the Church
and world. May those whose ministry
invites a challenge to the misuse of power, especially as it affects
women, be given the courage and
grace to persevere.
