IBVM to attend conference on Human Rights |

From Sept. 3-5, 2008 three
members of the IBVM including Marilla D’Souza our new UN-NGO representative,
will attend the 61st Annual NGO/DPI Conference: “Reaffirming Human Rights for All: The Universal Declaration at 60.”
At UNESCO in Parish. The Conference will address ways and means to
advance awareness of human rights today as set forth in the Declaration signed
in Paris 60 years ago.
We as IBVM have a vast network. What can we do?
- Read the Declaration in your own
language at www.unhchr.ch.udhr/. Invite others to do the same.
- Be vigilant in your own locale.
- Educate, especially the young,
about Human Rights as a tool for achieving peaceful co-existence.
- Let us know (
