 Peru:There was a big earthquake in Peru which affected our house and ministry in Lamud especially.
Message from Sr Anne Donnelly, IBVM Peru: All fine after the earth tremor we had here on Sunday night! (26 September).It is the
worst we have had since 1990. We felt it here in Lima, but Lamud got the worst of it.
The whole town was out in the Plaza until midnight. Some houses had roofs taken
off and walls down, and some of our outlying village had more damage.The school
in Olto, the village where Irene (Reynolds) and Miros (Santillan Davila) work, has
been hit badly. 
It is not safe for classes to go on so they have now moved to
the Local Authority building for class. The tower of the Cathedral
in Chachapoyas has also been hit. In towns in the next
Departmento - Amazonas - there were deaths and a lot more damge.
Thank God all are safe here. They are all doing what they can in
Lamud to help the people worst hit, in co-ordination with the Local
Authority.
