This is the story of the first Loreto Sisters to take flight, Loreto Pioneers in Aviation.

Teresa Ball had watched with a heavy heart, from Bullock Harbour, Dalkey as a group of eight Sisters set sail for the first foreign mission in India. In 1841 M. Delpine Hart and her companions were Loreto Pioneers in maritime and foreign travel, and this departure launched Loreto as a missionary order.
