We pray for the Church of Australia as they prepare for the canonization of their first saint : Mary MacKillop. We also give thanks for the early relationship of M Gonzaga Barry IBVM with Mary MacKillop RSJ that led to confirmation about Loreto schools and their students. March 8 is International Women’s Day and the theme is Equal Rights, Equal opportunities: Progress for all. This fits perfectly with our GC 06 Call 3c to challenge the misuse of power , especially as it affects women in the church and world. March 22 is World Water Day. Take time to consider your own use of this life-giving stuff , how it is such a precious resource and how so many suffer be cause of its lack and impurity. We pray with the Institute We give thanks for the Final profession of Clotilde De Maroussem in Mauritius on March 7th. We ask God’s blessing on her and all in the province. In the Indian province there will be three First Professions on 13th March: V. Jency, T. Jeba and Binista Kerketta. We pray for them in this time of joyful commitment.
