but intellectually understood, these words: “Take the same of the Society”. So understood as that we were to take the same both in matter and manner, that only excepted which God by diversity of sex hath prohibited. These few words gave so much light in that particular Institute, so much comfort and strength, and so changed my whole soul, that it was impossible for me to doubt that they came from Him whose words are works. In 1611, Mary Ward heard these words and 400 years later the Institute has fulfilled her vision. In 2002 the Congregatio Jesu adopted the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus ad maximum and in 2009 the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto) did the same. Mary Ward’s vision has been fulfilled.

Each one of us share her charism, each one knows something of the jigsaw and between us all we continue to bring light to this vision.
January 23rd begins with LIGHT and moves through DISCERNMENT for the MISSION we are living, and with SIGNS of CONFIDENCE and COURAGE, we place our HOPE in God alone.
