Deirdre Browne IBVM, from Australia, was invited to write the draft of volume II of our constitutions. Volume I, the Ignatian Constitutions, is our basic historical document. Deirdre was given the task of writing the text of Volume II of the constitutions, based on input from members of the whole Institute, specialist groups, and her own reflection on the sources and current issues. The document was to be accessible in style, would include juridical elements, be true to our heritage, spirituality and charism and reflect the life of the Institute today. On October 17th 2009, International Day for the Eradication of Poverty members of the General Congregation taking place in Arricia Italy, stand up against poverty.
