Today, another important step in our Becoming One journey has been taken. As we move forward,
both leadership teams felt that one UN representative and one JPIC co-ordinator would suffice.
Therefore, we happily communicate the news of the appointments of the UN representative and the
JPIC co-ordinator.

Sarah Rudolph will take up her appointment as UN representa-
tive in autumn. She is a member of the Canadian Region. She has
served at the Mary Ward Centre in Toronto since 2021, currently
in the role of Social Justice Animator, leading on faith-based ad-
vocacy for children and youth, and is on the council of the Cana-
dian leadership team. Prior to entering the Institute, she worked in
the Canadian federal government on public policy related to the
health and well-being of women and children, with a focus on the
promotion of children’s rights. For some time now, Sarah has col-
laborated with the UN NGO office. She looks forward to working
with our global network of Sisters, Associates, Coworkers, and
Friends. She will strive to bring the voices of our congregation to
the ears of decision-makers, and especially to prioritise the voices
of the marginalized with whom we work.”

Sr. Sunita Thomas CJ, Allahabad Province has been appointed
as congregational JPIC co-ordinator. She is the successor of
Sr. Adina Balan CJ and Sr. Pauline Macharia IBVM. Sr. Sunita
is a social worker, has a law background and has worked in the
JPIC animation of the Allahabad Province. She brings a good
level of knowledge and experience and is embracing this new
mission with enthusiasm. She will soon get in touch with the
provinces and regions. We are grateful for Sr. Sunita’s availabil-
ity and the generosity of the Allahabad Province to free her for
this important international mission.
Both Sr. Sunita and Sarah are enthusiastic about representing the congregation in these important
ministries. We offer them our full support in the years ahead.
