Excitement builds in Rome for the Extended Leadership Meeting. Leaders are arriving for the meeting which begins with the opening liturgy on Sunday May 21, the Ascension of the Lord. Many ibvm’s have been given a warm welcome at the CJ’s on Via Nomentana where they will stay before the meeting.
The leadership team in a letter recently sent to all members write, “The group has not gathered in person since March 2019 and a great deal has happened in the global Institute since then. Our facilitators for the week are Fr. David McCallum S.J. and Pablo Bernal of the Discerning Leadership group http://www.discerningleadership.org. They accepted to work with us because of the Becoming One merger, which they consider courageous and innovative in this time of challenge for religious congregations. They will direct us in a process to help us be more synodal and collaborative in our leadership roles,” Carmel (Institute Leader), Geraldine, Mary, Natalie and Kate in the letter to all sisters dated May 18 2023…
